[ndcf] RACE TO SUNSET - 12 hr mtb race... Time to register!

Greetings!



This email is being sent out as a reminder to all mountain bikers in the region that the registration deadline for 'Race to Sunset' is now less than three weeks away (6/1).  If you're planning to pull together a team or ride solo for the June 16th race, please send in your registrations ASAP (it makes planning the race sooo much easier if we know our numbers early...  ;-)  ).  Recall that we've significantly reduced the registration fee for this year's race ($40/team plus $5/rider), so don't delay!  Race information and the registration form can be found on www.ndcycling.com.



As an added bonus to this year's race, there will be a pre-race gathering at Boneshaker Coffee (1501 Mapleton Ave., Bismarck) at 7:00 p.m. Friday night (6/15) to watch '24 Solo', a movie that documents Chris Eatough's quest for a seventh consecutive 24 hour world solo mountain bike title in Conyers, GA last October.  This happened to be the same race Kelly Magelky was in (and I hear there are some good clips of him leading the pack the first few laps).  Everyone riding Saturday is invited to attend.  It should be a great time!



Finally, for those of you not racing on June 16 but would like to participate in some way, we are still in need of volunteers.  Please let me (liebigs at bis.midco.net) or Dennis Kemmesat (Dennisk at frontierprecision.com) know if you can help for a few hours on race day.  There's a variety of tasks to choose from depending on what you'd like to do (lap counting/recording, course official, photographer, etc).  In any case, your help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance for considering.
