[ndcf] Flasher Road Race Canceled

Due to some changes with the sponsors and lack of participation we have
canceled the Flasher Road Race scheduled for June 2.  Unfortunately this
leaves a significant void in our road race schedule which continues to be a
challenge to get participants.  The next local road race will be the Prairie
Rose Games event in Valley City in mid-July.

 

The good news is we have a couple of big events taking shape here in
Bismarck - coming up on June 10 is the Bismarck Triathlon - the net proceeds
from this event will go to support ND Teen Challenge - a faith based drug
and alcohol rehabilitation program in Mandan - we are shooting for 100
participants in this years event that will be held at Misty Waters Marina -
just minutes north of Bismarck off of River Road.  I encourage everyone to
try a Tri!  It is a fun event just to be part of - being offered are both
the Sprint Distance and Olympic Distance events - go to the NDCF web site
for all the info.

 

Then on June 16 we will have our Race to Sunset - 12hr MTB Endurance Event -
new location at Sleepy Hollow in Bismarck - at the corner of 26th St and
Divide - great course, lots of fun - this event is about the challenge of
doing and not about winning - the camaraderie, a great end of day meal is
included with your registration - great fun for everyone!  Proceeds from
this event support NDCF's trail development fund which helps make events
like this possible.

 

As always - volunteers are needed for these events - for the 12hr event if
there is a block of time you can work that works as well.
